WRASHIE WEAR AND CARE

Tying tips

How you tie your Wrashie is up to you! There are several ways of tying it, depending on how you’d like it to sit, how long you’d like the ties or how much coverage you’d like.

The wrap tie: Thread the tie on the right-hand side through the hole on the left side seam. You can wear it without doing this, but it helps to anchor the ties and keep it together at the back. Pull each side firmly so that the front sections are taut, and then cross over at the back and back around to the front. Secure with a double knot, a small ballerina bow or a long loop bow. You can also just tie in the back with a large bow, or if the straps reach around again, tie in the back with a small knot.

The twist tie: For a shorter style, hold both front sections (one in each hand) and twist around each other tightly, and then wrap around the back and to the front again. The ties can be threaded through the front twist to secure the tie or bow in the middle. This style is best if you want to wear the Wrashie on its own as a top.

HEY BUOYS AND GIRLS! When you first submerge in water, the tips of the ties may float. Just squeeze the excess air bubbles out underwater and they’ll relax down!

CARING FOR YOUR WRASHIE

Washing instructions

It’s estimated that the highest environmental impact of your clothing - sometimes up to 80% - comes from the washing and care of a garment. Properly caring for your Waverley swimwear will make them last longer and further help to reduce its footprint. As swimwear is typically exposed to chlorine and saltwater, it does need to be washed often to prevent the fabric breaking down or losing its elasticity or colour, so just be mindful of how you wash to balance your care of the garment vs care of our lovely planet.

Remember: loved clothes last!

FABRIC: 78% RECYCLED ECONYL® NYLON / 22% ELASTANE LYCRA®

  • Always rinse after swimming to remove any chemicals or saltwater

  • Cold hand wash using mild/natural detergent

  • Hand washing is preferred but if you use a washing machine, please use a gentle/delicates cycle only and we recommend using a wash bag to ensure the ties don’t get tangled or pulled in the washing machine

  • Drying flat to avoid stretching is best otherwise carefully line dry - always out of the sun to prevent fading or damage

  • Please do not: tumble dry, soak, leave wet for long periods, iron or dry clean

For safety reasons, please keep the ties away from small children.
